The Summer Xtreme Challenge 2026 - 7 th June 2026 A big thank you to everyone that attended and supported the Summer Xtreme Challenge 2026. Following the success of the other Xtreme events this one was created in and around the Tower area with many new challenges. Sadly no 100/100 so no free dinner for two, that was off the table after stand 1 - but maybe next time … Fortunately the rain stayed away and there were no horseflies, so we had some great fun with the usual splash of warped F&F humour and banter!! In the process, the extra funds raised now gives us around £350 in the pot towards the additional components needed for our new trap controllers. A huge thank you to our new Head of Catering, Andy Hind, he’s been awarded the title for his sterling catering, including two cakes with an edible logo, some great baguettes and a goody bag with more calories than we’ve ever seen at an F&F event - well done Andy, great job on this. Apologies received from Tobias, his partner was about to go into labour so had to cancel at the last minute - bad diary management indeed, you should always look for events nine months in advance!!! - seriously, wishing Tobias and family all the best with the new addition, the ‘20 Gauge’ is on standby ready … The order of the day was as follows (total of 100 birds): 1 Easy start … Rising Standard from Tower, O/R, R-L high standard 2 Lazy Lob into the trees, O/R, Fast low L-R Battue 3 Random incoming crossing pair of standards 4 From the Tower, going away, crossing Sim-Pair 5 From the Tower, High away Standard, O/R, incoming low curving Battue 6 High dropping standard, O/R, L-R Lazy Lob 7 Random incoming silent-rise Midi’s from the Wobbler 8 High L-R rising Standard, O/R, distant Chondel 9 Overhead Chondel O/R High Midi incomer 10 The infamous random flurry pair to finish Congratulations to the winner Tyler Wyatt with a staggering 81. Both Johan and Tyler were on fire with some very quick shooting. A tie-break shoot-out on 80 decided the winner with Tyler winning the shoot-out for the vital extra point. Great shooting everyone.
